Although your body from the outside does not look like a pregnant woman, but actually the condition in your body has changed since the beginning of pregnancy in the first trimester. Changes from the inside can have unpleasant effects and may start to interfere with your daily activities.

This Discomfort You May Feel

During pregnancy in the early trimester, pregnant women may feel the following discomforts:

1. Easily tired

Soaring progesterone in early pregnancy can make you tired and sleepy. This is because your body is working hard to support the growth of the fetus in the womb and adapt to all changes that occur in the body. If you experience it, try to rest more. Get in the habit of taking a short nap and sleeping for 7-9 hours each night. Even though you are tired, it does not mean you are forbidden to do any activity at all. Don't forget to keep exercising lightly because physical activity can increase your stamina. If you are not used to exercising, consult your obstetrician and ask what type of exercise you can do while pregnant. Also make sure you get enough iron and folate. This lack of nutrition can lead to anemia, a condition that can cause you to become weak and very tired. Folate is also important for preventing birth defects or nerve abnormalities in the fetus.

2. Frequent nausea

In this first trimester, your sense of smell also tends to be more sensitive. This might trigger nausea when you smell certain scents. Nausea usually starts most quickly in the first three weeks of pregnancy. This condition occurs due to increased estrogen and progesterone hormones which cause slowed movement of the digestive tract. You can feel nausea at any time, but most pregnant women feel the most nauseous in the morning, so it is commonly called morning sickness. To overcome this, you are advised to avoid foods that have a strong aroma or strong odor. Choose foods that are low in fat and easy to digest. You are also advised to eat small portions but often. Nausea during pregnancy is actually normal and not dangerous. But if the nausea is severe and makes you vomit often, this condition can reduce the intake of nutrients needed by your body and the fetus. These complaints also risk causing dehydration. If this happens, you are advised to consult a doctor immediately. If necessary, the doctor will give you a nausea so you can enjoy your food and not vomit.

3. The head feels dizzy

Dizziness during pregnancy is often felt as a sensation like fainting or the head feels like spinning. This discomfort can be caused by dilated blood vessels and decreased blood pressure. This situation may also occur due to decreased blood sugar, because at this time you are adapting to your body's metabolism which is changing due to pregnancy. If you experience it, you are advised to avoid standing too long, standing slowly after sitting or lying down, and avoid strenuous physical activity. If dizzy suddenly appears when standing, you are encouraged to rest for a while by lying on the left side of your body.

4. Breast pain

Pain in the breast can also be accompanied by swelling. This condition occurs because right now your breasts are preparing the ASI channel for breastfeeding your child later. To reduce the discomfort, you can wear a bra with a larger size than usual, or wear a bra that can support your breasts, such as a special bra for pregnant women.

5. Chaotic moods

Although pregnancy is what most pregnant women have been waiting for, it turns out pregnancy can create stress and confuse mood. This can occur due to changes in pregnancy hormones, fatigue, and negative thoughts or anxiety related to pregnancy or parenting after the baby is born. Some of the discomforts mentioned above you can feel. But be patient and don't make it something that hinders your intention to have a healthy pregnancy. If you find it difficult to deal with, you can always consult an obstetrician. Remember, this disorder does not last long, really. These annoying complaints will generally subside after Little was born into the world later.
